Currently based out of Denver, CO, I have broad interests in applying quantitative analysis and statistical models to diverse problems.

I was trained as a Cell and Molecular biologist in Dr. Allan Albig’s lab at Boise State University. I was introduced to Python programming during the first year CMDB program “Computational Biology Bootcamp” at Johns Hopkins University and fell in love with it. I then joined the Taylor Lab, and used machine learning to analyze and model the mechanics of transcription factor binding.

As a Computational Biologist with Invitae I am currently expanding and refining my skill set in an applied setting on high-throughput data in the context of tumor signatures and personalized medicine.

With background both on the bench- and computational-sides of the lab, I bring both a practical and analytical perspective to problems I encounter. This influences my approach to all sorts of problems, including recent consulting on economic and disease models. As new quandries present themselves, I look forward to bringing these skills to bear to find data-directed solutions in a robust and efficient manner.
